Interview with Kyle MacDonald, Barterer, One Red Paperclip
If you’ve ever exchanged a good or service in return for something of value, then you’ve bartered. Bartering has become a successful alternative to cash in recent years for small business owners and individuals, and even large corporations are in on the act, too.
However, no one has been as successful with bartering as Kyle MacDonald, a Montreal, Quebec resident who has traveled North America bartering goods, contracts, services, and more for accomplishing his life-long dream: Home ownership. Starting with one red paperclip, MacDonald currently has in hand a recording contract, which he’ll barter for one year’s free rent in Phoenix, Arizona.
