My domain -- ronaldlewis.com, for the past few years, has ranked #1 on Google.com -- until recently. Although my name bowed to the Internet Movie Database for #2, it's still a great testament in light of "SEO experts" that with time, good content, and "just doing what works" -- you can achieve great rankings, without going broke.I believe the reason I've achieved this ranking -- out of 14,300,000 possibilities -- is because of the following:
1. Owning ronaldlewis.com
2. Using my name frequently throughout all of my web pages
3. Being referenced at highly-visible web sites
4. Some "luck"
Of the millions of people named "Ronald Lewis" around the world, it's a nice achievement.
Who says you need an SEO expert?
