Recently, I blogged about CNBC's Erin Burnett and why I enjoy watching her on "Street Signs" and other programs. I've noticed a steady stream of visitors to that entry, and it only says one thing: America Loves Erin Burnett! While she's "easy on the eyes", she does a great job at serving her audience. Great work, Erin.
Also, I must make a correction about Erin being my favorite female anchor on CNBC -- there's room to appreciate the talent of others, too! Having interviewed a few folks myself, Liz Claman did a fine job of interviewing Mr. Warren Buffett. I've watched the interview some three times now, and it's as refreshing as the first time I watched it. Buffett is amazingly sharp and youthful for his age, and Liz added an additional level of energy and excitement that made for time well spent. I'm looking forward to seeing it again.
Overall, kudos to CNBC for their format and approach to reporting business news and stocks. It's a satisfying source of content when I'm not using the Internet.
Why I Support Barack Obama for President

First and foremost, it is not the color of one's skin, but the content of their character. We are bound by one branch, one life, and one purpose. The idea of "separate, yet equal" has long plagued our thinking. Contrary to popular belief, we have always been one as human beings, and together, we can finally tear down the walls of separatism. Our present state of society and living is atrocious, and we've turned a blind eye to progress in light of much needed change. Mr. Obama is our greatest hope for re-engineering a nation long hampered by self-interests, division, and reckless policy and management.
Secondly, it is not about one's strong stature, pose, or ability to engage a crowd. Instead, it is the feeling of hope that we will finally realize great change in our country. We cannot afford to continue on our current trajectory. We cannot rely on our government alone to fix the issues which are tearing our nation at the seams. Great change involves everyone, and in my heart, I am confident that Obama will lead by example, rather than by words alone.
Thirdly, we've been misled and misguided far too long as a nation. Proper engagement of all citizens is essential to repairing the center of our communities, government, and spirit. There is so much we can accomplish together, and Mr. Obama believes in the commonality we share as human beings.
The above is why I support Mr. Obama as our next President. In all my 27 years of living as a human being and fellow American, no public figure has ever touched the center of my soul as "the one". Mr. Obama is "the one" for our nation, purpose, and dream. Mr. Obama shares my belief of building a unified nation that isn't divided by class, color, religion, or interest. No one has convinced me of this possibility until Mr. Obama.
This is the beginning of great change and purpose. Together, with Mr. Obama, we can work together as people and citizens to usher in a paramount of change. No task is too large, and no dream is unreasonable.
Mr. Obama is America's gateway to a new nation.

Previously, I blogged about noticing Google's "G" icon trailing the popular "Ads by Google" link featured on many websites and blogs. Well, today, I noticed yet another oddity: "Ads by G". I wonder why Google does this? Here's a screenshot below (click on the image for a full-screen view).

It's time to find a sponsor for the Interviews Podcast. I've worked very hard over the past year, and now, it's time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Last April, I was close to landing Cisco as a sponsor. Through my own effort, my inquiry was forwarded by several marketing directors who "green lighted" my proposal, which eventually landed in the inbox of their Worldwide Marketing Director. This level of success within a $23 Billion company is inspiring. It's the reason why I'm fueled to find a sponsor for a reputable and respected brand in social media. The figures for the podcast speak for itself:
- More than 100,000 downloads
- "First to interview" before the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and dozens of major media outlets
- Impressive audience: Decision makers, executives, high-end consumers, etc.
- Major appearances: Southwest Airlines, Craigslist, Intrado, etc.
- Relevant content for a diverse group of advertisers/sponsors
If you believe you can help make this possible, please contact me today.

Recently, I blogged about being introduced to "The Secret", a DVD which teaches you the principles of the "Law of Attraction". While "channel surfing" earlier today, there was a promo for today's Oprah show about a "secret" segment. Immediately, I figured this was related to the videos I'd just viewed earlier in the week, and thought I'd tune in.Well, Oprah indeed featured a panel of teachers of "The Secret". I have to say, it's another positive bonus in my pursuit of practicing everything I've learned from "The Secret" in my everyday life. In fact, "The Secret" inspired me to create a new podcast that I will announce soon.

Also, listeners of Interviews will be able to take advantage of a substantial discount on the company's standard pricing.I'll post a link here once the first interview goes live!

Have you ever had those moments where you've been so excited, that you can barely contain yourself? I have them often, because I'm a pretty passionate person about things I love. This level of passion is apparent anytime I solve a problem, discover something new, etc. It's such a priceless emotion -- it's a natural high like no other. There are a number of things I'm excited about in the New Year. There's a mix of technology, goals, projects, etc. However, more than anything, I really want to take my work in social media to the next level. The Interviews Podcast has become my primary focus above all else. I envision building a wonderful team of people that will allow me to focus on the interviews, and creating a larger audience and community for it.
One thing I've realized that I cannot be the "Jack of All Trades" forever. I need a team of brilliant people to help me realize dozens of ideas and existing goals. I cannot accomplish these things on my own -- there's no way possible, because it's bigger than me to handle all on my own. I anticipate that the answer to addressing this talent shortage will be revealed to me sometime this year. I really need help to kick some things off.
Anyway, I just needed to post this to release all of this extra energy. I've spent the past few hours just thinking about everything for this year, reading my "list" of goals and desires, etc. Wow. I'm pumped!

As a toddler, my Dad and I would go for walks at night with our dog, and he'd quiz me on cars of interest. "What kind of car is that, son?" I'd respond, and was usually right. Ironically, my knowledge of cars didn't transition to a love for them. My interests were basic and simple. I didn't care much for luxury vehicles either. Well, how things have changed in the last few years.I was always a big Ford guy. My first car was a 1984 Ford Tempo. Second, a 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier. Third, a 2001 Ford Taurus. And finally, a 2005 Honda Accord. The Accord was my first new car. My taste in cars changed dramatically.
I've become an import guy. My new love are Volvo cars, followed by Honda. I love Volvo's mixture of safety with elegant, yet simple Scandinavian design. For me, less is more, and Volvo achieves this objective across their entire line. Volvo's design philosophy matches my personality, which again, is all about keeping things simple, yet elegant and contemporary. Fine lines, comfort, and a bold yet simple design is uniquely Volvo.
So, on with my Top 5 favorite cars:
1. 2007 Volvo S80 - Just look at the beauty of this car!
2. 2007 Volvo XC90 - The best SUV there is!
3. 2007 Volvo S40 - A great mid-compact!
4. 2007 Honda Accord - Proven history, fuel-efficient (34MPG w/4 cylinder engine), and elegant design
5. 2007 Ford F150 - I love pickups, and Ford leads the pack!
